Debra Chiat I felt confident that I was literally in 'good hands' and was getting a global and thorough approach to my health in general
Adults of all ages choose Invisalign because they want to feel better about their smiles. This may mean that they want to stop struggling with decay between crooked, crowded teeth or that they want to feel more confident in their appearance. Whatever the underlying reason for straightening teeth, Invisalign is an excellent solution because:
- Computer-guided design of aligner trays leads to predictable progression of tooth movements
- Preparation for treatment requires advanced imaging instead of messy impressions
- Invisalign aligners are a clear, smooth, virtually invisible alternative to bracket-and-wire braces
- Aligners can be removed for meals and oral hygiene (prescribed wear is 22 hours a day)
- Comfortable, formed aligners do not get in the way of an active lifestyle
- Oral health is more easily maintained due to the absence of fixed components
How Invisalign works
After your initial consultation with Dr. Smida
and your decision to proceed with Invisalign, images of your teeth will be taken. These are processed in a specialized laboratory to compose a step-by-step animation that shows your straightening from beginning to end. Before your aligners are worn, you will be able to see how each will gradually move teeth to proper positions. Depending on the extent of correction needed, a specified number of aligners will be made, one for each arch. Aligners are worn daily for a period of two weeks and are then switched for the next set. Over time, you will see the positive change in your smile.
Misalignment can have an enormous impact not only on your appearance but also on your overall oral health and function. Improve your bite, your health, and your look with treatment from Dr. Jurina Smida.
